BAZA Screens Dance Films continues with its third edition — Movement & Voice — an evening of seven short dance and experimental films from around the world, plus two surprise videos of historic works by artists working with dance and voice.
How does a body speak? What happens when movement meets poetry, song, memory, and storytelling? The selected films move between forbidden love, disappearing rituals, family histories, our relationship with nature, and the stories we tell ourselves. From a search for gestures lost through technology to a hip-hop music video, this program brings together very different ways of giving the body a voice.
